Pinterest Porn

Ok, well sort of.

As a sexologist, I like to seek sex out in all forums. You know, ferret it out, examine it, talk about it and then put it back on the shelf to see what everyone else does with it.dr. kat pinterest I got into Pinterest for a couple of reasons, I could see a way to use it professionally, — you know share with everyone what images and ideas I dig and see what other people find hot within this context. Granted there is no full frontal or penetration going on in these pics but there is some very hot imagery that is up there on those boards. It can run the gamut from Notebook-esque embraces to S&M fantasies. But then, pinning became fun.

Let me state that I am not obsessive about it. I have to be in a mood to pin. But I sort of equate it to looking through a glossy brain candy magazine. It’s fast, pretty and instantly gratifying. You can pick it up and put it down at a whim.

I do pin other things. In addition to my “Sex” board, I have other categories I dabble in (Love and Life), that helps tie them all together by pinning images that I see as sensual or passionate or may simply help us live a sexier life. You’ve seen my tag line on my website, right?

I do believe Pinterest has potentially become the Harlequin romance novel of sexy images on the web. It’s titillating for alot of women out there that they can pin something risqué and still feel mainstream about it. And if it’s really good, all of their friends and followers will repin it. I like knowing what people find sexually and sensually excited. Pinterest has turned out to be a nice place to get in touch with that through other people’s boards. As a sexologist, I can see trends and as a fellow pinner I can repin and enjoy hot images while getting my hair done at the salon.
