Lets face it, even I will admit it… we haven't been posting all that much on the blog. So I’m going to work on changing that. Yes I know, you might not agree with all the things I have to say, but that’s okay, it will make for great conversations. I can’t wait to hear your feedback either way. So in getting this blog going, I was debating different things… whether I should talk about toy reviews, about the new contract stars we just signed on such as Teagan Presley, other industry type news, or talk about what it is like to work here at Adam & Eve. So, after thinking of all the different angles, I have decided to just do a bit of everything. Some of you will want to hear about the unusual toy reviews we get, and trust me, we do get some off the wall reviews; some of you will be super excited to hear about our new contract stars; who wouldn’t be excited to learn about our gorgeous curvaceous blonde beauties and want to see them in action? While some of you would really want to hear about what it is like to work at the number one Adult Toy Company in America. I wonder what people visualize when they think of how it is to work here. Kayden Kross to Host AVN Awards?

Adam & Eve’s “Great American Sex Survey” Asks “How Many Lovers Have You Had?”

There’s an old saying that women round their numbers down and men round them up. Well Adam & Eve, America’s most trusted name in adult entertainment, asked over 1,000 American adults to truthfully reveal how many partners they’d had. And the results may surprise you!

According to Adam & Eve’s “Great American Sex Survey,” most respondents (23.8%) revealed they’d only slept with between two to five partners. Of these respondents, 21% were male and 28% were female.

Almost the same percentage (23.1%) had six to 10 partners (22% male vs 24.9% female). And 21.2% have had 11-25 partners (20.5% male vs. 21.4% female).

Most surprising, 11.8% of the respondents (11.7% male vs. 13% female) had only had one sexual partner!

“We were pleased to see that the number of partners for the average person is in line with a similar survey we created around 10 years ago,” said Katy Zvolerin, Adam & Eve Director or Public Relations. “It’s interesting to see that even with much more access to sexually oriented media, the average American is still holding on to traditional sexual values in many ways.” As the number of partners rises, the percentage of respondents appears to decrease. While 11% (13% males vs. 7% females) of the respondents said they’d had between 26 and 50 partners, the smallest answer selection (8.8%) was for more than 50 partners. Of those who had more than 50 sexual partners, 10.86% are male and 5% are female.

Because sexual curiosity is part of human nature, Adam & Eve, the nation’s most respected name in adult entertainment, recently commissioned Cvent, the event management and web survey software company, to launch a sex survey determining Americans’ sexual practices, and the results are surprising.

Why not play an inappropriate game?

1. Would You Rather?

My friend Sasha and I played this game the other day over IM (which I highly recommend since it avoids inconvenient sexual harassment suits). It goes like this:

You get the general idea. In order to ease your partner into the game, start off with pleasant choices, such as that hot kid in the warehouse and the sexy older guy a few cubes over. Once you’ve peaked their interest you can go for the bottom of the barrel. The most amusing scenarios are 2 heinous people of the sex the person is NOT attracted to. For instance, if you’re playing with a straight girl, give her a choice of two old ugly ladies. Continue playing until you’re both nauseated. The best part of this game is the side effects. After playing, you will end up having dreams about the acts in question and awkward, red faced elevator rides with the dream subject the next day. Fun stuff.

2. Apocalyptic Top 5

This game is similar to the previous one in that it involves thinking about your coworkers in a sexual sense. I do not recommend playing this if you have 5 or fewer coworkers, as your choices will be somewhat limited.

Since many people are not comfortable with this subject, you must present them with a “end of the world” scenario so that they can’t argue their way out of it. Here’s the scenario:

The apocalypse is imminent. The only chance of saving the human race is for you to have sex with one of your coworkers. The devil is standing there waiting for you to hand him your top 5 (you need a top 5 in case the devil gets distracted or bored and kills off your first few choices). If you have sex with these people, the world will continue on as it always has and the memory will be wiped from everyone’s mind (again, to avoid awkward elevator rides and infidelity issues). If you fail to do so, you will single handedly be responsible for the destruction of the entire planet.

This is the most fun when played with a group of people of the same sex and sexual orientation. Have everyone reveal their choices at the same time and compare. Inevitably, there will be some overlap. There are a few guys around here that are really going to luck out if that scenario ever comes to pass.

3. BINGO!

Like the traditional version of bingo, this game requires cards. The theme of your card depends on your particular work environment. First, you and some coworker friends have to come up with noteworthy things that occur fairly regularly at your place of employment. Arrange these on a card and pass it out to a trusted group of associates. Every time a player witnesses one of the events listed on the card, they mark it off. When your card is full, you stand up and yell BINGO! I recommend focusing on events that are likely to occur during a meeting so that the eventual bingo will have maximum effect.

A friend of mine works for a boss that’s a touch crazy. He and his coworkers have a version of this called “Psychopath Bingo” that includes antisocial characteristics. Each time their boss exhibits one of these traits, they mark it off. I just hope the winner doesn’t become the target of the psychopathic rage win BINGO is finally announced.
