I love lingerie as much as the next girly girl, but there are some sets out there that really make me wonder what some people are thinking. You paid how much for that small patch of fabric? Those cups don’t even cover your breasts! Why on earth would you ever want crotchless underwear anyway? Do guys really like the whole “less is more” thing when it comes to lingerie? Here are three sets of lingerie that make me think – are these things really worth it? (Oh, and for those of you who completely disagree with me, please feel free to leave your comments below, or have a word on the Adam & Eve Facebook page!)

Adam & Eve 2-Piece Pearl Body Necklace – I mean, look at this thing! There’s like nothing to it! On the top you get what looks like the start of a bikini that someone forgot to finish. The open cup top is bordered by a string of pearls that just outlines her boobs. (The model wearing them has amazing boobs, by the way.) Then you get the same thing at the bottom – something that I can only really describe as a pearl thong that just barely covers the girl’s bits. So how much for those “where is the rest of it” lingerie set? Just under $30 (super sexy white thigh highs not included).

Erotica Teddy – Did someone forget to add a few fabric panels to this set? It’s like someone decided that the only thing that should be covered on a woman’s body is her belly button and that valley between her boobs. Forget covering the actual breasts. Or the boobs. Or the butt. Forget imagination – let’s put it all on display! (Although, I must say, the model for this half-there teddy does have the kind of ass that can pull off this outfit.) While I’m sure this is a great set for ladies who are a bit on the larger side, there’s still a whole lot less fabric in this set than in your usually teddy. This collection of string and fabric goes for just under $40.

Chastity Heart Panty & Pasties – Can someone please explain the point of pasties to me? I might as well head to my kitchen drawer and pull out some electrical tape. These two little cutsey heart shaped pasties also come with a bottom piece that some may call underwear, but looks more like a belt maker had a bit too much to drink one might and got creative with his leather leftovers. I swear that smaller strap that goes across her vagina barely covers her slit. I just don’t see the point! You can pick up this pair of pasties and “panties” for under $20.

In our second installation of basic sex toy collections for under $50, we’re taking on the fellas. While the sale of sex toys for men has been increasing over time, there are a still a few guys out there that think they’re a bit taboo. Some men don’t want to come to grips with the idea that they need anything else to help them get off, while others are more upset that their lover is looking for something more. So what sex toys do you get for the guy who has never had any and is looking for something low key? Here is our list of the basic sex toys you should get for you men, for under $50!

Vibrating Penis Ring – price range $11 to $16

One of the more unassuming sex toys for guys is the penis ring. These little plastic circles aren’t just for the BDSM crowd, and aren’t designed as punishment for a naughty man. Penis rings have a number of purposes, including making the member harder for a longer period of time. Slightly more advanced than the standard model, vibrating penis rings can not only stimulate the man wearing it, but add something for their female lover as well. Built in small bullet vibrators like the one in the First Time Love Ring can stimulate a nearby clit.

Basic Male Masturbator – price range $6 to $20

For the guys who are going it alone, or their partners who want to play along, male masturbators are a great little piece of equipment to enhance the basics hand job. For the basic starter units, the male masturbator often resembles a tube with an opening. Made from the same materials as a lot of dildos, they mold themselves against the skin and move along with the upwards and downwards motions. For starters, it’s a good idea to get a male masturbator with an opening at each end like the Good Head Stroker, as it makes cleanup easier.

Water Based Lubricant – price range $5 to $12

Especially when using male masturbators, lube is a must. To be sure that your toy is compatible with the lube, we suggest playing it safe and going with a water based option. Not only can you use it for your sex toys, you can also use it during sex, even when using latex condoms. For the guys who think they’ll use their masturbators a lot, we suggest going with a larger bottle of lube like the 8oz bottle of Adam and Eve Lube. These toys are at their best when they are absolutely swimming in sex lube!

Penis Sleeve or Extender – price range $11 to $20

Now we realize that penis sleeves and extenders can be a bit of a red-light when it comes to guys using sex toys for the first time. Especially with the fellas that are less than confident about their shape or size, adding something onto the penis can just spell trouble. If you or your guy is a bit on the fence, there are unassuming versions that may be a good first step. Sleeves that add texture rather than size like the Tickler Cage may show the guy that it’s more about texture than anything else. Silicone Superflex Stimulators can add a bit of hardness to the guy’s erection, but it’s still more about the bumpy sides than anything else. If your guy has no issue with extensions, basic starters like the Futuristic Penis Enhancer are in the right price range for guys starting out in the sex toy world.

You know those statements that say “Guys think about sex every 6 seconds?” Guess what, I know, you know, and everyone else knows that guys aren’t the only ones that think about sex all day, every day. There are days that I can’t get sex out of my head, and I’m ready to jump the next guy that I see. Obviously, this isn’t socially acceptable, and I’d like to think that I’ve taken a little bit of time to know a guy before I go letting him penetrate me. But when it’s on my mind all the time, and I know I’m not the only one, I have to take a little bit of action just to get the thought out of my head. If I don’t, it’s going to wear into my productivity.

Think about Sports

I’m not sure if this works for everyone, since some athletes are smoking hot, but when I think about sports like football and rugby, I find nothing actually erotic about it. I’ll read football stats, watch some top 10 plays on ESPN, anything to start thinking about sports, and my hormones ease up a little bit. As a side note, this is also a good trick for the guys that are a little “trigger happy” in the bedroom too. Get him to think about a bunch of jacked up dudes butting shoulder pads, and your problem is solved.

Go for an Office Fling

While it might be inappropriate to go for office sex, if you’ve got a colleague who can keep things quiet, and you can find a place with a little bit of privacy, taking a break where no one can see you could be just the trick you need to get sex out of your head, at least for a few hours. I’ve only done this once, and it was one of the worst sex experiences I’ve ever had with a man. Regardless, it still took my mind off of sex at least until I was able to get home to something a little bit more experienced.

Lunch Break with a Toy

If an office affair isn’t quite up your alley, feel free to bring one of your many toys into work with you. Make sure you’ve got it well concealed or you’ll give off the wrong signal. Find a place where you can get some good privacy for fun with yourself. FYI, the bathroom is a bad idea, since someone else could walk in at any moment. And while you may love for them to join in, not everyone has the same sexual rush that you do.

Immerse Yourself in Work

The more you surf around social sites and sites like this one, the more you’re going to think about sex. Anyone who is overwhelmed with work will tell you that they don’t think about sex at all during the day, simply because they don’t have the time to. The pressure of work easily cancels out your hormones, so work to keep yourself as busy as possible so you don’t find yourself looking at things that would get you going.

Bear in mind that none of these are actually guaranteed to work, and a few of them could have the complete opposite effect on you. Feel free to let me know if you’ve got something that works for you.

I recently took a look at my sex toy collection and had a huge epiphany. The toys that I’ve collected over the last several years has amounted to an amount that might as well be bigger than my shoe collection, and I own A LOT of shoes. I began to wonder if my obsession with sex toys was being over done. Has my pleasure with the unique ideas that sites like Adam & Eve present to me taking over my obsession with pleasure? Could this be the reason that I almost always incorporate toys into sex? Could this actually be hindering my desire to have sex with men?!? After a long sit down with myself (and my toys of course!), I’ve come to the conclusion that you can never own too many sex toys, and here’s why.

Ultimate Exploration

Like the partners that I have and have had sex with, I’m always on the hunt for unique and exciting ways to rewrite the Karma Sutra. I get bored in the bed easily, so if my partner doesn’t want to change the game a little bit, he’ll drive me crazy. I tend to think that it’s the same way with my toys. If I had just one toy, it wouldn’t be any fun. I love getting new toys and seeing what they can do for me that my current collection hasn’t already done. I also like to revisit the old toys that have started to collect dust. It’s nice to know that the classics are still the classics for a very particular reason.

Ultimate Pleasure

No sex session with a partner is more exciting or intense than the first time. While the sex might be better as you become more acquainted with each other, the way your heart races the first time really adds an intensity that you won’t find any other time. The same would also apply to a new sex toy. When they arrive, I get so excited to try them out and see what they’ll do for me. I usually purchase sex toys based on what they say they can do, and what that does for my imagination. I think about those words until the day it arrives, and I’m usually blown away by my initial orgasms that I get out of new toys.

Ultimate Experience

When I had first started realizing my obsession with pleasure, both by myself and with a partner, it seemed like what it took to pleasure me was almost nothing. Unfortunately, with experience comes the issue of things taking a little bit longer to come full circle. I’ve noticed that each toy I buy seems to get a little bit more complicated with every purchase, and things have gotten quite complex! Nonetheless, this also tells me that I’m very experienced in pleasuring myself, and it’s easy to tell if a specific toy is going to get me off when I want it to and in a reasonable amount of time.

There’s nothing wrong with owning a vast collection of sex toys. With each one you buy, you learn an element of pleasuring yourself (or your partner) that you didn’t know before. I say that sex toys should be like cookies…you can’t have just one! Never be ashamed of your collection. If anything, I’d encourage others to do the same as I have.

There’s a lot of talk about the ways that the ladies style their ‘hair down there’, but we seem to have missed out on the methods that guys style their pubic hair. We’ve had a chat with four of our Twitter followers who were open enough to share their manscaping methods with us, as well as the reasons they prefer their own personal style.

Keith: “I use a combo of a buzzer and a razor to get my style. I keep my balls and shaft hair free, and I trim down the hair elsewhere. I’m not the biggest guy in the world, so this style makes my dick look a bit bigger than it actually is. Using the buzzer keeps the razor burn at bay, and I only really use it for the edges so that I have a ‘border’ around my bits.”

Aaron: “I just let it grow naturally. No shaving, no trimming. If it gets a bit too out of control, I’ll grab a pair of scissors and trim it down, but that’s a rare event. Given the fact that I don’t shave my face much either, it pretty much says my style. Not lazy, but not overly conscience about my appearance anyway.

Eli: “Mine is kept neat and clean. I don’t shave any part of my package, but I use a combo of a pair of scissors and a trimmer to keep it under control. I really have this fear of getting a blade anywhere near my Johnson – especially since I nick my face at least once a week when shaving. I have to admit I’m a bit lazy about it – to the point that my girlfriend sometimes takes the lead and shears me down like a sheep when she’s had enough. It is kinda sexy, though, when she does it!”

Roman – “Completely bare! I’ve got no hair down there. I wax what I can, and the rest is done with a careful shaving. Lots of shaving cream and a really sharp razor is needed. I’m a model, and sometimes the shoot means that I’m down to my underwear – or less – so the lack of stray hairs means the photographer is spending less time editing out the pics. I also watch a bit of porn, and I really like that ‘clean’ look.

With the Fifty Shades phenomenon moving across the country, BDSM (or bondage, dominance, and sadomasochism) is becoming more a topic for the break room and less taboo. More than a few of the ladies and gentlemen on the Adam and Eve team have started toying with the idea of bringing a dominance and submission aspect into their love life. But with that added level of danger and responsibility, there are ways that a bondage beginner can go down the wrong path. We gathered up a collection of couples who actively take part in the BDSM lifestyle, and got their tips for us ‘vanilla’ folks who are just looking for a kinky time.

1. Always remember there is a balance. The ‘top’ or dominant partner may seem like they are the ones in control, since they are the one leading the scene and not restrained. The ‘bottom’ or submissive partner may seem like they are at the mercy of their lover. A healthy relationship will share that control – the top will be led by the bottom, responding to their reaction, their pleasure, and their requests to stop. This is also where safewords come in – establish a word or phrase to use that will let the top know you’ve had enough. A lot of couples like to use the colors ‘yellow’ and ‘red’ (like a traffic light), since the words ‘no’ and ‘stop’ may be used as part of that power exchange, and not a true request to discontinue the action.

2. Start simple. If you’re just getting into the scene, and aren’t sure if this is the kind of lifestyle that you want to lead 24/7, don’t go out and spend hundreds on all sorts of equipment. A lot of items around the house can easily be converted into bondage gear. Neckties can be used to tie up lovers into various positions. Rulers and wooden spoons make great paddles. So much of bondage and dominance is about mental control as well, where no toys or equipment are needed at all. When you do decide what you like, multi piece kits like the Ultimate Fantasy Kit are great ways to start your collection, then adding singular pieces like riding crops, spreader bars, and fur paddles as and when you see fit.

3. Begin with basic bondage and dominance. Your first session should be slow, and using ‘baby steps’. Tie your lover up during sex – restrict their hands and arms. Some beginners use material that is easily broken (paper streamers is a great tool for this), so if the session takes a turn they aren’t comfortable with, they can easily break out of their bonds. If you’re going to use handcuffs, make sure that they have a non-key release. There are fur-lined cuffs for new users that are good, as they can’t close all the way and restrict blood flow to the hands. Use blindfolds to create mild sensory deprivation.

4. Plan ahead. Never session for the first time with someone you don’t trust completely. Establish your safewords before any action takes place. Establish your boundaries of what you are and are not willing to try. Be familiar with your surroundings in the event that something happens. Always practice safe sex.

5. Be aware of subdrop. A lot of submissives reach a ‘high’ when taking part in a BDSM session. Coming down from that high can be an intense and very emotional experience. It’s very important that the dominant knows how to deal with subdrop appropriately and be there to support their lover during the hours following the session.

It’s getting hot in my part of the country. Sure, I could always sleep naked – and usually do. Every so often, though, it’s fun to wear something that the girlfriend can take off me. I can’t be bothered with all these frilly little bow and lace sets – that’s totally not who I am. I wasn’t too open minded when I started clicking through Adam and Eve’s web site for underwear for me, but I was really surprised with how good the results were!

If you haven’t seen the Pink Skull Print Cami Set yet, it’s a three piece, pink and black, punk / girly / scull type themed collection made from nylon. Not a single sparkle, lace, or bow in sight. (Okay, well the skull-girl print on it has bows in ‘her’ hair, but no actual bows on the pieces.) You get a tank top, thong and stockings with this set. It really strikes the right balance for me – cute, without being too ‘little girl-ish’, sexy without being trashy, and easy to put on without being a potato sack. Yes, you can sleep in it, but I’d bet that it would end up on the floor of your bedroom before the night is done.

The Booty Camp Camisole Set is just as good. This set is just the two pieces – the tank top and the thong, and costs slightly less. I think it’s even less girly and overly-pretty than the Pink Skull set. It’s the classic camo print with net-like material that stretches a bit when worn. I’ve even used this top to go out to the club (wearing a couple of pasties underneath, since the top is see through).

I think the most ‘girly’ item I got was the I Like It Dirty Chemise, and even that wasn’t very frilly! This is about as close to lesbian lingerie as I think you can get – crotchless thong, and a top that has cups that open up when you untie the ribbon. I loved the mesh look of the top as well (and also wore this out to the club).

I know a few lesbians like me really aren’t into lingerie at all, and tend to shy away from mainstream shops that seem to stock nothing but pink, frilly and feathery underwear. Hell, I even know quite a few straight girls that are the same way! Thankfully, Adam and Eve have a selection of underwear and lingerie for us ladies who would prefer not to dress up like Barbie dolls for our lovers!

My neighbor was going on vacation for a few weeks, and we agreed I would watch his cats while he was away. What I thought would be an uneventful experience pouring some kitty chow into a bowl twice a day turned into an adventure in gay sex toys that opened up my mind! It’s probably best to start from the beginning. We agreed that I’d pop over to his place in the mornings before work, and after dinner time to fill his cat’s bowls with water and food, and to clean out the litter boxes. I had been to his house for parties in the past, so I was familiar with the layout of the house. Most of the rooms were closed off for his evenings of entertainment, though, so I never got to scope out more than the kitchen, living room and bathroom. Well, my curiosity got the best of me when I noticed that his bedroom door was slightly open the first night I went over to feed the kitty.

After peeping my head in, my eyes took a bit to get adjusted to the darkness of the room. The curtains were drawn, and the room had darkly painted walls to start. I started noticing that there was something dangling from his ceiling in one corner of the room, opposite the windows. As my vision came into focus, I made the realization that he had a sex swing installed in his bedroom! I had only seen pics of these types of toys in sex toy web sites and the occasional porn flick. Here I was, standing before what I later learned was a Fetish Fantasy Spinning Swing.

I snapped a pic of it on my phone and sent it off to my boyfriend, with the message “OMG – check out what Marc has in his room!!!” Yes, I know this was totally invasive, and yes, I do feel slightly guilty about it. Hence the internet ‘confession’ in this post. At any rate, boyfriend text me back asking me if that was what he thought it was, to which I confirmed his thoughts. His next text sent my brain into overdrive – “Wanna try it out? Xxx”

Well of course I wanted to try it out!! Boyfriend came over that next night, and after little kitty was fed, we tip toed (no idea why, since we were sure no one else was there) into the neighbor’s place stripped down, and got to work! After some gymnastics, boyfriend got himself into the sling, and I was taking him from behind. I didn’t know whether to laugh at how silly we must look, or enjoy the moment. I think I did a little of both because the orgasm that I had was certainly in the top ten of my life! Maybe it was the whole ‘forbidden’ thing, or maybe it was the fact that I was able to get in the best position to get me off. Hopefully, my neighbor isn’t reading this. If he is, little kitty didn’t see a thing and we made sure to clean up after we were done!! Muah!
